Zip and linkNestled in the rural splendour of the Lincolnshire Fenlands, Rawhide is a quirky cabin situated in a wooded dell, where you are surrounded in nature, peace and tranquility. This unique lodge is perfect for a couple looking for a romantic getaway or a solo adventure where even the dog is very welcome.
In a nod to the creative talents of the owners who have a deep-rooted love of all things Wild West, Rawhide has been designed to offer cosy living with a whimsical twist. Many of the authentic touches here have been collected over the years from the United States, bringing a unique and eclectic style to the cabin. The living space is warmed by a wood-burner and the soft lighting enhances the cosy interiors. A small kitchen-area has all the equipment you'll need in miniature, including a fridge, hob, kettle and toaster. The bedroom has a 'zip and link' bed, giving you the luxury of either a super-king double or twin beds and the shower-room is perfect for refreshing after a busy day.
No cowboy (or girl) holiday would be complete without a barbecue and the outside space has all you need to cook up a storm, including a ranch-style fire-pit. One of a portfolio of three cabins, your nearest neighbours are Longhorn (5429) and The Sheriff (5428) however your privacy is assured as each one is well hidden within the woodland. This gorgeous location is perfect for a peaceful escape so saddle up and get ready for a holiday to remember!
This delightful spot is perfect for a peaceful getaway, where you can sit and escape in a good book or share stories whilst toasting marshmallows around the fire-pit. If you do decide to explore further afield, the Lincolnshire Fenlands have much to offer with beautiful landscapes, grasslands and shallow meres. Crop growing is abundant here so don't forget to look out for roadside stalls and farm shops selling the freshest of local produce, ideal for some home cooking.
Sutton Bridge Lighthouse is a short drive away, home to miles of lovely walks along the coastal wash and perfect for exploring with your dog. If a spot of retail therapy is calling, head for Springfields Outlet in Spalding just ten minutes away and where you will find an assortment of independent shops, cafes, a garden section and crafts. Bay Tree Garden Centre is also close by and here you will find a vinyl store and vintage shop amongst others. The Anchor Inn in Sutton Bridge has a great reputation for its carvery so why not treat yourselves on a Wednesday evening or Sunday lunchtime or perhaps try The Red Lion in Holbeach - great for dining and live weekend entertainment. For Indian cuisine, Chamelis is an excellent choice. If you decide to try out your barbecue skills in true Wild West style, try Sheerers the local butcher, just a few minutes' drive away. Alternatively, the owners can provide barbecue and breakfast hampers for your arrival, via prior arrangement.
However you plan to spend your idyllic holiday, say "Yeehaw" to a getaway at Rawhide!
