Surrounded by idyllic Lincolnshire Fenland countryside and within easy reach of Holbeach, Longhorn is a quirky retreat where you can immerse yourself in nature and enjoy a unique cabin experience. Perfect for a romantic getaway or a solo escape, Longhorn is nestled amongst a wooded copse where peace and solitude abound and even your dog is welcome.

In a nod to the owners' deep-rooted love of the Wild West, Longhorn is furnished with fabulous authentic features, many collected over many years from the United States. The cosy interiors are welcoming and warm throughout the seasons thanks to the warming wood-burner and soft lighting. Small but perfectly formed, the kitchen-area has everything you'll need in miniature, including a fridge, hob, toaster and kettle. The bedroom has a gorgeous feature bedstead, comfy king-size bed and lovely shower-room for freshening up after a busy day.

Outside, Longhorn sits in peaceful seclusion and whilst there are two neighbouring cabins on the same patch, Rawhide (5430) and The Sheriff (5428), they are all tucked away so your privacy is assured. Whether you plan to spend your days absorbing the peace from the rocking chair on the deck, cooking up a storm on the fire-pit or exploring the local area, a getaway here will create many happy memories.

The Lincolnshire Fenland is perfect for an escape to nature, with miles of beautiful landscapes, grasslands and shallow meres. The area is renowned for growing crops so keep a look out for roadside stalls and farm shops selling the freshest of local produce, ideal for home cooking.

Walkers should head for Sutton Bridge Lighthouse, just a ten-minute drive away where you will find mile upon mile of fabulous walks along the coastal wash, ideal for dog walkers. For a change of scene and some retail therapy head for Springfields Outlet in Spalding, just ten minutes away, where you will find a great selection of independent shops, cafes, a garden section and craft centre. Bay Tree Garden Centre is also worth a visit, with a great selection of shops including a vinyl store and antique seller.

Holidays are all about treating yourself, and The Anchor Inn in Sutton Bridge is recommended as the place to go for the best carvery, served on Wednesday evenings and Sunday lunchtimes. The Red Lion pub in Holbeach is also worth a visit for yummy food and regular live entertainment at weekends. If Indian food is your go-to choice, head for Chamelis in Holbeach, but do book ahead, it's a popular place. If you are planning to dine in, head for the local butchers Sheerers, just a few minutes away and perfect for stocking up on barbecue supplies. Alternatively, the owners can provide barbecue and breakfast hampers for your arrival, via prior arrangement.

However you plan to spend your blissful getaway, Longhorn is perfectly placed for all your Lincolnshire adventures.
