Surrounded by unspoilt mid-Devon countryside with Dartmoor in the distance, Cherryblossom Cottage is a tranquil and welcoming barn conversion, set in an ideal location for those who love peace and quiet.

The private garden is totally enclosed so is great for children and guests with dogs. There are 32 acres to explore here, including beautiful woodland, and lovely walks nearby.

Inside, the open plan living-room is attractively furnished and, with its warming wood-burner, is a really cosy retreat all year round. Ideal for young families and anyone seeking a complete getaway, Cherryblossom Cottage is an absolute delight – close to, yet very private from, the owners’ farmhouse across the driveway. If you wish to bring your horse, this can be arranged.

The stunning beaches of the north Devon coastline are an easy drive away for a day out, as is Dartmoor National Park – visit Castle Drogo, an extraordinary castle with fantastic gardens, a shop and a restaurant with Dartmoor as the backdrop. Closer to the cottage, the village of Iddesleigh is home to the Duke of York pub, made famous by War Horse. Local market towns such as Hatherleigh are ideal to stock up on provisions.

The Tarka Line is a great alternative to a day driving – catch this local line at Eggesford Junction and head up to the coast or to the Cathedral City of Exeter.
