From the minute you arrive at Treretherne Barn you will be mesmerised by the truly stunning panoramic views of the Camel Estuary and rolling countryside. Located at the end of an unmade track, the inspiring location offers peace and seclusion by the bucketful, yet is only a 30 minute stroll across the fields (a little longer along the road) from the holiday hotspot of Padstow. Add to this an award-winning barn conversion, a stylish, and contemporary interior, and a fabulous garden and patio taking full advantage of the view, and holidays in Cornwall don't get much better than this!
The cleverly designed interior takes full advantage of the space available and those wonderful views. The light and airy open plan living-room is the perfect communal area with a stylish kitchen, plenty of comfy seating, large windows and an inviting gas-fired wood-burner effect stove, perfect for those out-of-season breaks. A spiral staircase leads up to the first floor which has an almost ecclesiastical feel, thanks to the wood panelling and bespoke arched doors. The three bedrooms sit under the eaves (so please mind your head!) and are furnished with the coastal setting in mind. The double and twin rooms both have en suite facilities which are also shared with the third bedroom.
Outside there is oodles of space for socialising, games, sunbathing or simply sitting back relaxing and enjoying this very special place, watching sunsets over the estuary. If you really do want to get out and about you won't be disappointed. Take a stroll down the hill and you will find yourself in the heart of Padstow where gastronomic delights are in abundance. Throw in trendy shops and galleries, pubs and cafes galore and a whole host of festivals and celebrations throughout the year and you have a great holiday destination. Hop on the ferry across the estuary to fashionable Rock and try your hand at sailing, windsurfing or even a round of golf.
Beach lovers are well catered for, as right on your doorstep you really can choose a 'different bay for every day' or why not hire some bikes and venture along the Camel Trail as it winds its way through Wadebridge and up to Bodmin Moor – you don't have to go the whole way as you can always stop off en route for a cream tea or to sample some award-winning wine!
