Introducing Rydon, a 15th Century barn which has been restored and crafted into this most luxurious and comfortable retreat. This 'once upon a time' flower store has been architecturally designed to deliver style and luxury, whilst retaining its deep and characterful features. Not only is the barn dripping in splendour, the outdoor heating swimming pool and fire-pit area make for your ultimate enjoyment, whatever the time of day.

Nestled on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, exploring and enjoying this magical spot is so easy to do with many adventures leading right from your doorstep. However, you may not want to leave this fabulous barn and grounds, which is totally understandable. The outdoor heated swimming pool will provide hours of entertainment, especially for the younger members of the group, and for those who prefer a slower pace of life, relaxing on one of the sun loungers or around the glowing fire-pit may be more the ticket. Whatever you seek from that special holiday, Rydon offers it all and much more.

Venturing out and about is a must. Rydon is nestled in 30 acres of the most glorious and unspoilt Devonshire countryside. Nestled in this beautiful hamlet in Teign Valley, the adventures which can be enjoyed on foot are endless. However, should you wish to venture further afield, a pleasurable car journey will find you at the south Devon coastline where numerous villages, towns and sandy beaches can be enjoyed.

Back in the barn, this stunning home-from-home boasts charm, luxury and comfort all year round. Characterful features can be enjoyed throughout, from natural stonework which has been lovingly preserved and exposed to the breathtaking vaulted beams and ceilings, not forgetting the must have creature comforts of king-size beds and a glorious open fire to tuck up in front of whilst planning tomorrow's adventures. Rydon has been restored to the highest of standards, it will render you not wanting to leave.

The owners of Rydon reside within the grounds, therefore should you need any help or guidance as to how to make the very most of your special surroundings, please don't hesitate to ask as they are only too happy to help make your holiday as special as possible.

Arriving at Rydon is also a special experience. Once within the grounds of this fabulous estate, a mile-long private driveway will lead you to your beautiful abode and private parking. Unloading the car and stepping inside this stunning building will make you smile from head to toe.

Your nearest village is the charming and traditional Devon village of Trusham, which is set on the southern flanks of the Haldon Hills. This near-perfect looking Devon village is home to the most attractive cob and thatched cottages, all within close proximity of the heart of the village, the picture-perfect church. Slightly further afield (under three miles away) in Teign Village you will find a small number of shops, including a Post Office and the friendly village pub.

No south Devon holiday is complete without a day at the beach. You are truly spoilt for choice in whichever direction you head in, however your closest sandy beach can be found in the very popular village of Shaldon, which sits adjacent to Teignmouth. Both hotspots offer something special from watersports, fine eateries and welcoming pubs to all the fun of the fair in the amusements which can be found in Teignmouth. Shaldon also offers a small zoo, which is perfect for the days where the weather lets you down last minute!

For the more active members of the group, your location in Trusham is simply perfect. Not only do you have miles of paths and trails to explore on foot, but the challenging hills of Haldon are also very close by. A day out at Haldon Hill Forest is guaranteed to tire the most active of guests. You can enjoy Haldon Hills without the need to pack your bike, as you can hire all the equipment you will require. Once your exhausted from testing all the different bikes runs, you can relax in the onsite cafe, enjoying a light refreshment or two. Haldon Hill Forest caters for all generations, this really is a great day out for all the family.

Whether you stay within the beautiful grounds of Rydon, venture out across Dartmoor experiencing the magic which awaits amongst the most unspoilt terrane, or further afield in the car in seek of the glorious south Devon coastline, whichever route the day's adventures take you on, I can guarantee you will not be disappointed. Especially as you have this stunning barn to return to.
