In order to use some of the services provided on our website you may be asked to submit personal information about yourself (such as your name, address, email address etc). Such services include requesting a holiday cottage brochure, reserving / booking your holiday cottage and registering for our My Classic service.
We provide an online booking service that allows you to pay for your holiday cottage by submitting your credit or debit card details. We are compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), a set of comprehensive requirements for enhancing payment account data security.
Whenever we ask for credit card details these are encrypted before transmission. An Extended Validation (EV) Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate from Verisign shows that the transaction is encrypted and that Classic Cottages have been authenticated according to the most rigorous industry standard.
Classic Cottages do not store or process credit card details on any of our systems; instead we use Sage Pay, a secure online payment gateway to process these payments on our behalf. Sage Pay (formerly known as Protx) have achieved the highest level of compliance under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) and adhere to the most stringent levels of fraud screening, ensuring that card details remain secure throughout the transaction process.
We pro-actively look for security vulnerabilities in our servers by scanning them quarterly with Comodo HackerGuardian.
