Tucked away in rural Devon you will discover The Dairy Barn. This charming, converted barn can be found just outside the ancient market town of Holsworthy in north Devon yet only a short drive away from the rugged and beautiful coast of north Cornwall. Situated along a rural Devonshire lane, it offers the perfect location to explore far and wide across two counties. From families to couples or a sole traveller, this delightful barn offers the warmest of welcomes and the perfect hideaway from the normal nine-to-five.

Lovingly styled and furnished, the decor complements the barn and its tranquil setting. When it comes to bedrooms there will be no fighting with both boasting characterful vaulted ceilings, super comfy beds and crisp linens, the perfect combination for a blissful night's sleep!

On the ground floor you will relax into the cosiest of sitting-rooms; with a coal-effect electric fire and a cosy sofa you will instantly melt into your surroundings whilst enjoying a well-earned tipple after a day of exploring. When it comes to exploring the dining-table in the kitchen/diner offers the perfect spot to plan a full day of adventures whilst enjoying that all-important brunch, cooked up in the fully equipped kitchen. This Tardis of a property also boasts a fully refurbished shower-room on the ground floor with a further bathroom upstairs on the landing, perfectly positioned between both bedrooms, so there will be no hold ups in the mornings but the joy of a bath at the end of the day.

Step outside the stable-door and head up the granite steps to the garden, the perfect spot for the children to play safely. Why not fire up the barbecue and enjoy a chilled sundowner whilst enjoying a slower pace of life and truly soaking up all that this barn and location has to offer.

North Devon caters for all, from the thrill seeker to the gallery and coffee shop seeker, this location ticks the boxes for everyone. The neighbouring village of Bradworthy also has a yearly music festival that is the highlight of the local calendar and grows every year. Not forgetting the Tamar lakes which offer fishing and water sports. If it's the perfect beach day you're after then you're spoilt for choice; from Bude to Crackington Haven the choice is yours!

A seasonal micro-pub is located just a few yards away from the barn and is open on Fridays and Saturdays offering its famous pizza night, so even Dad can enjoy a locally-crafted pint of beer with his stone-cooked pizza.

You could also venture a little further afield and catch the ferry from Bideford Quay to Lundy Island, which will be a full day out but a day that will be remembered by one and all. There are also beautiful sandy beaches at Instow, Saunton Sands or Braunton Burrows, not forgetting the wonderful galleries and cafes at Instow, which is rich with maritime themes and links to the sea.

Once you have discovered north Devon it will become a firm favourite.
