From the rolling countryside to the magnificent coastal walks which lead you to numerous golden beaches and coves, whichever direction you head in, you will most certainly enjoy the magic of this stunning area.
This pretty semi-detached barn offers a wonderful space to really relax and unwind in, sparking up the barbecue whilst the younger members of the party let off steam. As the external areas are fully enclosed, sitting back with a good book is a real treat, with the peace of mind both the children and four-legged family friend can play in their own private enclosed space.
Heading into The Mill following a day of fun and adventure is a welcoming sight. Whether you wish to cuddle up in front of the gas wood-burner, enjoy a game of cards at the dining-table, or just watch a movie, the open plan living space makes playing, dining and relaxing together so easy to do.
When retiring for the evening, you have three inviting bedrooms to choose from. The first floor bedrooms offer a king-size bed, with bedroom two offering a single bed, which can be made up into two singles on request. Bedroom three can be found on the lower ground level, this spacious twin room is both light and airy, providing oodles of space to unpack and really make yourself at home in. For extra convenience, both floors have bathing facilities, therefore washing away the sand and suncream from the day's adventures before falling into bed is the perfect way to end the day.
The Mill and its wonderful location provide the perfect all year round holiday destination for both families and couples alike.
The Mill is ideally situated for exploring south Devon and its magnificent coastline, you even have a public footpath straight from your front door which takes you up a hill to some of the most breathtaking views over the Kingsbridge estuary and out to sea.
Not forgetting the idyllic and attractive nearby towns of Kingsbridge, Dartmouth and Salcombe. Delectable eateries, welcoming watering holes and cafes can be found in abundance in these charming villages and towns.
Also within close proximity you have numerous beaches which are perfect for those lazy days in the sun, or for the action seekers of the group, numerous water sports are available. The glorious sands of Bigbury-on-Sea are a short car drive away (11 miles) and ideal for either kicking back and relaxing or slipping into your wetsuit ready to enjoy a touch of hand-surfing or wind-surfing. If you're new to either technique, help is at hand - only a short distance from the beach is a very friendly and professional surf school, who are equipped to teach all levels - why not give it a go? Even closer (eight miles) you have the golden beach of Bantham, a real family favourite all year round. Or perhaps head in the opposite direction to glorious Slapton Sands beach. Steeped in history, Slapton Sands is famous for its role in the Allied preparations for the D-Day landings, a fully restored and rather glorious Sherman tank still stands proudly by the beach-side.
All in all, this beautifully restored barn is set in a magical setting, with so much to see and do, for both young and old. Your location is second to none, making The Mill the perfect south Devon bolthole.
