From your dedicated parking space on the owners' drive, open the gate and enter your private patio area which offers a lovely spot to start or finish the day with miles and miles of skies above you. Step over the threshold via the patio doors and you will be instantly captivated by the delightful open plan living space with the joy of under-floor heating throughout. Decorated beautifully from the carefully picked furniture to the luxury fabrics throughout you will instantly feel at home, the cosy sofa invites you to snuggle up in front of the log-burner and relax into your holiday.

With an abundance of fresh local produce to buy at local farm shops, cook up a Devon delight in the well-equipped kitchen or sit at the dining-table and plan the days adventure. Bedroom 1 is a fabulous room with a super-king 'zip and link' bed with luxury linens and is an oasis of calm and the perfect place to relax and re-charge. Next to this bedroom in the hall you will find the sleek shower-room which has a fabulous walk-in shower and under-floor heating, perfect for chillier mornings. Located in the heart of the countryside you may encounter country life and of course, with the friendly livestock that enjoy grazing in the adjoining fields, this all adds to the charm of The Copps and the true rural experience. This really is a little gem you will want to return to year after year!

When you hear the words 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' you know you have arrived somewhere very special, and Hartland is no exception. The village is a hidden gem, unspoilt and steeped in history. Local shops include an eclectic assortment of galleries and potteries, inspired by the gorgeous surrounding countryside and coastline an. You'll find a good selection of restaurants and inns here plus a cafe, ideal if the chef wants a night off. The local bakery will keep you supplied with fresh bread and if you are lucky enough to be visiting on the first Sunday each month, the Hartland Farmers Market is a great place to stock up on all things local.

One mile away, the north Devon coast is waiting to be discovered. Hartland Quay is a pretty cove where swimmers can take advantage of the sheltered waters. Sunny days can be spent lounging in the sun, building sandcastles and rock pooling, and in wilder weather watch the dramatic seascape as the Atlantic rollers crash over the rocks. Whilst you are here, take a look at the Shipwreck and Smuggling Museum where you can learn about four centuries of seafaring history. Walk along the coast to Hartland Point and Grade II Listed Hartland Lighthouse, renowned for its dramatic location overlooking the Bristol Channel and Atlantic towards Lundy Island.

If you decide to head out in the car, Hartland Abbey is a stunning historic house with beautifully tended gardens, woodland trails and a beach walk. The pretty village of Clovelly is a short drive away with steep cobbled streets leading to the picturesque harbour, a day spent here will be memorable. Perhaps the stunning beach of Westward Ho! is calling? A surfer's mecca, the whole family will be in paradise here. However you plan to spend your valuable holiday time, whether relaxing in the garden with a good book, or venturing further afield to discover the many delights of north Devon, you will look forward to returning to The Copps again and again.
