Accessed via short flight of steps, The Artist's Garret is simply beautiful. The living space has been stylishly designed by the clever owners with designer wallpaper and quirky antique furniture. The comfy sofa is the perfect place to chill out, relax and watch a movie on the Smart TV after a busy day (please remember your Netflix login details) and the swish kitchen has all the equipment you'll need to create a culinary delight on holiday, there's even a slimline dishwasher so no squabbling over the washing up here!
Through beautifully crafted doors you will find the gorgeous bedroom, sumptuously decorated in jewel tones to create the most romantic of boudoirs. The comfy king-size bed is furnished in luxurious bedding, the perfect place for a restful night. A separate wet-room is beautifully presented with a large walk-in rainfall shower, so you can freshen up after a day of exploring.
Outside, a pretty deck is home to a bistro table and chairs where you can sit and listen to birdsong during the day and admire the festoon lighting at dusk and into the evening, bliss! The surrounding woodlands and countryside are a haven for wildlife and whilst the secluded fields are shared with Rodin's Retreat (5145) and DaVinci's Den (5146), your privacy will always be respected. The helpful owners also live on site and are happy to help should you have any questions. The Artist's Garret has easy access either north or south however there maybe occasional traffic sound from the nearby road.
From watching the sunrise in your peaceful haven, to enjoying an aperitif as the sun sets over the surrounding hills, a getaway here will be one to remember for ever.
Dartmoor is a magical place to visit on holiday and this stunning National Park is just waiting to be explored either on foot or by bike. From tors to Neolithic tombs, stone circles, forests, rivers and wetlands, this vast moorland is the perfect place for exploring, and you may even see a pony or two on your travels.
For a more sedate pace of life, visit the charming unspoilt market town of Okehampton with medieval motte and bailey castle, or perhaps Tavistock where the twice weekly pannier market is well worth a visit on Tuesdays and Saturdays and there's a great selection of boutiques, tea rooms and independent shops, perfect for stocking up on your holiday essentials.
Should the coast be calling head either north or south, The Artist's Garret sits equidistant between the two. Surfers should head north to the catch the Atlantic rollers of Widemouth Bay, Bude or Saunton Sands, whilst the south coast offers calmer waters and sheltered coves such as Teignmouth, Exmouth and Brixham.
