DaVinci's Den

Tucked away in a secluded field a short drive away from the majestic Dartmoor National Park sits DaVinci's Den, a fantastic hideaway full of charm and luxury. Part of Burnswood Boutique Escapes, DaVinci's Den is ideal for a couple's getaway to the countryside, with plenty of great outdoor spaces to enjoy the fresh air, including a gorgeous outdoor Swedish bathtub as well as a delightfully designed interior, ideal for cosy evenings in.

Venture down a winding country road and turn left into the owner's sculpture garden and studio to park in your dedicated parking space by the gallery. The shepherd's hut is located down a small gravel path through an attractively landscaped field. Step up the handcrafted wooden steps and enter through fantastic double stable doors and you'll be greeted by a snug interior clad with blue timber and full of wonderful, bespoke designer furnishings. All of the beautiful small details dotted around the hut are handmade which gives the space a truly unique feel. The cosy kitchen sits along the back wall of the hut and has everything you'll need to cook up a storm on your holiday. Next to the kitchen, a delightful breakfast area offers the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee and take in the charming views across the surrounding field.

To the other end of the shepherd's hut you'll find an inviting king-size bed topped with plush pillows and gorgeous bedding. A fabulous, curved window in the ceiling stretches above the length of the bed allowing guests to enjoy a spot of stargazing as they drift off. The specially designed blind of the stargazing window ensures the morning light doesn't wake you up with the lark. After a great night's sleep, head over to the beautifully fitted en suite for a gorgeous hot shower.

Outside, you'll find plenty of relaxing spots to enjoy the fresh Devonshire air. A charming antique table and chairs sit in front of the hut, illuminated by delightful fairy lights, and offer the ideal place to enjoy a spot of al fresco dining or barbecues in the evenings. Behind DaVinci's Den, you'll find a fabulous decking area, sparkling with festoon lights, complete with two wooden, rocking sun-loungers and a fantastic wood-fired outdoor bath - a private romantic spot in which to enjoy a glass of fizz as you relax after a day's exploring.

This hideaway shares its beautifully secluded field with Rodin's Retreat (5145) but your privacy will always be respected. You'll also find The Artist's Garret (5247) here too. The owners also live on site and are happy to help with anything you may need.
