A timber-framed glass wall in the south-facing open plan living-room of Snuggledown gives views over the fields and woods of Trethevey Farm, home of the Owners who, together with Trethevey Old Barn (944) across the courtyard, are your only neighbours. Adjoining the World Heritage Site Luxulyan Valley, a circular route with bird watching hides in the Owners’ woods is perfect for leisurely strolls and leads to miles more woodland, ideal for dog walking. Inside the detached, single-storey barn the spacious sitting-area has a wood-burner effect stove and a large comfortable sofa. The bedroom shares the wonderful views, and the separate, well appointed bathroom is perfect for relaxing in after days spent exploring. The Eden Project is nearby, as is the picturesque sailing town of Fowey. Many coastal and countryside walks are accessible and Lanhydrock and Heligan Gardens are a joy to visit. So-called because of the ducks and geese that roosted here many years ago, Snuggledown is welcoming and cosy whatever time of year you visit.
