Appropriately, Popplestone is Devon dialect for ‘pebble’. The Cathedral City of Exeter and the smaller market towns of Honiton, Axminster and Chard are all within easy reach. There are plenty of walks from your doorstep and three golf courses nearby. Set down a private concreted drive, your only neighbours are the Owners, their five horses and two dogs. Livery is available if guests wish to bring their horse and a dog is welcome. The cottage has a small, fenced garden for pets, but guests can also enjoy a further open garden close by. The sitting-room has a polished oak floor, a modern free-standing wood-burner and comfortable leather sofas, as well as an attractively furnished dining-area. The sparkling white kitchen has a slate floor and there is also a downstairs bathroom. Up the twisting staircase, the double and twin bedrooms have lovely views and are separated by a fully tiled shower-room.
