The tranquil setting of this lovely barn conversion will delight those looking for a little rest and relaxation; the approach lane follows the Saints’ Way trail, meandering along the edge of historic Breney Common. There are footpaths galore, with a track opposite the cottage leading directly to the top of the nature reserve at Helman Tor, one of the wildlife gems of Cornwall. Breney Barn has been transformed into a high quality, wonderfully comfortable holiday home, perfect for families. There is a sociable open plan living-room with comfortable sofas, oak flooring and big windows which let the light flood in. The kitchen-area is fully equipped with all the integrated appliances and a large island unit, plus all the kitchen equipment you could need. There is WiFi, and a Smart TV with free Netflix, so you can stream films or catch-up on programmes you might have missed. There is a double bedroom on the ground floor (the bed can be accessed from one side only) and a spacious family bathroom, while upstairs the double and twin bedrooms have sloping ceilings and are separated by a shower-room. French doors in the living-room lead out to a sheltered sun-trap courtyard for outdoor meals and steps lead to a fenced field area where children can run around or kick a ball about. This is an inspirational area for garden enthusiasts, with Heligan Gardens, the Eden Project and Lanhydrock all within a ten minute drive, as well as the Duchy Garden Centre which is renowned as much for its great cafe as it is for its lovely plants! The sailing waters and narrow picturesque streets of Fowey, the fishing village of Mevagissey and the ancient town of Lostwithiel all deserve a visit too, and the fabulous surfing beaches of the north coast are just half an hour away. There are fly fishing lakes nearby, cycle trails and riding stables, so this is the ideal place for both relaxing and active holidays alike.
