Hawks Cay

If you were looking for cottages like Hawks Cay, how about trying these:

The village of Shaldon perches on the mouth of the River Teign. Pretty houses jostle for position in the narrow streets and the beach is just two minutes from this lovely house (see photograph). In the heart of the village, Hawks Cay is furnished in a New England style, with white wooden blinds and white linen curtains. The sitting-room is decorated in muted cream, white and grey with a warming wood-burner and a 48” 3D television with Blu-ray player. The kitchen/diner is a delight, with up-to-the-minute appliances, slate floors, granite worktops and doors out to the enclosed sunny courtyard. There are three bedrooms on the first floor as well as a spacious bathroom. The second bed in the twin room can be tucked under the other bed if you have a smaller party. Up on the top floor is bedroom four with sloping ceilings and a bathroom. Shaldon has a butcher, baker, (no candlestick maker), two general stores, a post office and a pharmacy, all within walking distance of Hawks Cay. Shaldon is fast becoming a top foodie destination and putting the Teign Valley on the gastro-map. The coastal path goes out of the village and the expanse of Torbay is just around the corner.
