Coombe Bridge Cottage, dating back three centuries, is located in a sheltered hamlet above a babbling stream, within Dartmoor National Park. Thatched, with original beams and lots of steps, it is both cosy and spacious. The farmhouse-style kitchen has a deep red electric Aga ensuring a warm welcome and slate flagstones lead to a back kitchen and boot-room. Beyond the separate dining-room, the large sitting-room boasts a huge inglenook fireplace, soft sofas and a baby grand piano. Three staircases (one very steep) lead to the pretty bedrooms above. Within walking distance of a pub in Scorriton village (about a half-mile) and great walks on the doorstep, this is a wonderful part of Dartmoor and even the south Devon coast is not far.
