Get back to the simple things that matter with a relaxing stay at Woody, a luxurious, spacious and stylish safari tent located in a tranquil wildflower meadow - within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - with breath-taking views and 12 acres of fields to explore, just minutes in the car from two great beaches.
Wonderful Woody has been lovingly put-together by the owners, who are both product designers by trade, with everything on-hand to make your stay really special, including high quality sprung mattresses, sumptuous bed linens, beautiful woollen throws, soft towels, reindeer hides, lanterns, designer dining chairs and a fully stocked inventory.
There are not one but two bedrooms in this super-roomy retreat, plus a delightful double den bed in the living area, and a wood-fired range doubles up as the main cooking and heating appliance - cook up storm, boil the kettle for a cuppa, whip up a hearty breakfast or just simply cosy up on an armchair in front of it. There's also dining-table which has plenty of space for all to enjoy a leisurely lunch or scrumptious supper around.
At the rear of the tent, a wooden annexe houses a double hot water shower/wet-room and a cloakroom with flushing WC and wash-basin perched on a log - a really lovely design feature. Enamel crockery is on-hand, perfect for eating inside or out, and there's even a storage area - perfect for picnic and barbecue supplies - with a fridge, kettle and double power socket for electrical essentials. All that, and the kitchen sink!
To keep the seven-acre meadow (shared with only one other safari tent Hobie, and Rusty, a stylish converted shipping container) blissfully car-free, it is just a short walk with a wheelbarrow to take your luggage from the parking-area. A handy on-site honesty shop offers home-made and local produce as well as everyday necessities, including eggs and bacon for those all-important morning fry ups.
There is no shortage of things to do nearby, including surfing (the owners can even arrange lessons for you), walking (the South West Coast Path is a must) and visiting quaint fishing villages, such as Cadgwith and Porthleven. A three minute drive will take you to the picturesque Poldhu Cove, with its sandy beach and beachside cafe serving delicious hot chocolates, ice creams and other tempting treats. Or you may prefer to stay within the 12 acres of meadows, where there is something for all ages - have a picnic, fly a kite, lounge in the hammock in the small wooded copse, collect the abundant herbs, spot species of wild flowers, birds and insects and perhaps, at the end of the day, sip a glass of wine or a hot chocolate at the communal fire-pit while watching the sun set over the stunning coastal skyline.
At Woody you can reconnect with nature, family and friends, and relish the simple pleasures of life without letting go of home comforts. Barefoot Glamping has been lovingly created to meet all of your holidays needs whilst enjoying the extraordinary experience of luxury camping.
