The Old School
2314 is no longer with usIf you were looking for cottages like The Old School, how about trying these:
This former school house, built in 1866, has been divided into two with the Owner next door, although guests will be private. Enter via the patio steps and the property is all on one floor apart from the mezzanine sitting-area approached by spiral stairs (please take care). There are enormous windows letting in the light and the living-room has original woodblock flooring, a wood-burner and an oil-fired Alpha range for cooking and heating. There are two pretty bedrooms, a shower-room and a bathroom which boasts an old cast iron claw-foot bath. Outside, the enclosed garden has a pretty seating-area and small pond (take care with toddlers). The local pub has limited opening hours however there are several excellent pubs/restaurants within a short drive as is Dartmoor and the north coast.
