With its spacious deck overlooking the courtyard’s pond and the countryside beyond, semi-detached Thistledown has its own special character, its cosy central heating making it ideal for a couple in any season. The ground floor double bedroom, with its romantic antique four-poster bed, has a door leading into the bathroom – which is also accessible from the hallway. The open plan living-room has pale wood floors and a wrought iron spiral staircase (please take care) leading up to a small twin bedroom. Although the cottage accommodates just two guests this room, tucked beneath low sloping eaves (mind your head, even if you are not very tall!), offers flexible sleeping arrangements for two people.
