A short walk from bustling Mousehole’s picturesque harbour and sandy beach, tea-rooms, well-known restaurants and excellent pub, Mount Pleasant Cottage is set above Down Under (2425) and has been strikingly refurbished. Inside, an eclectic design mix creates a contemporary yet homely feel, painted original floorboards (some sloping!) complement the fresh white walls. Philippe Starck dining chairs and an eye-catching Vanity wall-mounted electric fire contrast harmoniously with the old farmhouse table in the spacious dining-room. Also on the ground floor is a beautifully fitted kitchen/diner, a shower-room and a pretty double bedroom. Up the painted wooden stairs are the remaining bedrooms and family bathroom, and a comfortable sitting-room with captivating sea views. A door leads outside onto a huge deck and terraced garden, which both have fabulous views down to the harbour and sea beyond. This gorgeous cottage may be a short distance from the car park, but with so much to offer, it is definitely worth it!
