Sunnybanks

1906 is no longer with us

If you were looking for cottages like Sunnybanks, how about trying these:

This is Daphne du Maurier country – half an hour’s drive or so from Fowey, as well as the moors with echoes of ‘Jamaica Inn’. Polkerris beach, just beyond Fowey is ideal for bucket and spade days out and the moors are great for walking or riding. However, do not forget to pack your tennis shoes, as Sunnybanks has three full-size courts available to guests for free (please bring your own equipment) and tennis coaching from an LTA coach can be arranged with the Owner. Traditionally furnished with an open fire and terracotta sofas in the L-shaped sitting/dining-room, there is also a bright modern kitchen. Once a large house, divided into two cottages many years ago, the Owner is next door and shares the gardens but there is so much space you will be quite private. The Eden Project is close by and the Bodmin and Wenford Steam Railway passes through the valley, so for that added treat, why not take the train through the glorious wooded Glynn valley and have a pasty supper while trying to solve a murder mystery?
