Nestled in a gorgeous countryside setting on the Cornwall and Devon border surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside, Swallow Barn is a delightful place for a holiday with family or friends. The old stone barn has been converted beautifully offering a thoughtfully presented holiday home, whilst still retaining its original charm with the exposed stonework and rustic beams.

The bright and inviting living and dining areas can be found on the lower level and there's a stylish and well-equipped kitchen with a Heritage range oven, a wonderful space to spend quality time together around the dining-table. With two comfortable sofas guests will feel warm and cosy snuggling up for an evening around the feature fireplace and chatting over the day just gone and the new adventures awaiting you tomorrow.

Upstairs enjoy a great night's sleep in one of the two comfortable en suite bedrooms furnished to an exacting standard and with many extra little touches that make you feel settled and able to recharge. The main bedroom has wonderful vaulted ceilings with exposed walls adding a rustic laid back charm with the luxury of an en suite shower-room.

The barn has a fun quirky flow; entering the barn from the courtyard level the entrance hall sits between the two bedrooms with stairs down to a large middle landing where you can access the enclosed patio-area. With another set of stairs down to the lower living area, the design means that the barn never feels enclosed and floods with light thanks to the clever conversion and positioning of doors and windows throughout the barn.

The outside seating-area at the back of the barn is accessed via the glazed back door on the middle landing and offers an enclosed patio ideal for a spot of al fresco dining and enjoy a dip in the hot tub whilst watching the sunsets and sunrises or simply listening to birds in song. A barbecue will be provided in the warmer weeks. Outside of these times if a barbecue beckons, simply ask the friendly owner who will be happy to provide you with one. This is a truly magical setting for a long holiday or short break, so if you are looking for a bit of peace and tranquility this is certainly the place you can find it.

There are two shared Pod Points to charge electric cars, these are on a first come first service basis and charged at cost. Netherbridge Farm are pleased to offer discounted rates with Trethorne golf club and leisure park. They also offer a free 2-ball during your stay. Swallow Barn is one of a selection of fabulous properties at this wonderful location including neighbouring Kingfisher Barn (4584).

Guests are free to wander the seven acres of shared grounds surrounding the barns to take in the fresh country air and maybe spot local wildlife or your neighbouring woolly sheep who may be grazing quietly in the lakeside paddock. Guests can fish for carp in one of the well-stocked lakes or for those interested in more tranquil pursuits, find a place to sit by the side and just relax in this peaceful setting.

There is something here for guests of all ages and whatever time of the year; enjoy a tasty picnic lunch on one of the tables surrounding the lakes or spend time watching the ducks who share this wonderful location. Take a short walk to the banks of the River Tamar nearby but be sure to bring your walking boots or wellies as when exploring your surroundings or experiencing the delights of Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor the weather cannot be guaranteed!

Whilst in the area why not pay a visit to the gorgeous north Cornwall coast and its many beaches, including Bude, Widemouth and Polzeath. There's plenty of charming towns and villages to explore, including the pretty fishing village of Boscastle and fascinating Tintagel, a great place to discover myths and legends. The historic local town of Launceston is also very close by should you wish to browse the shops, pick up a treat in a cafe or pay a visit to the Norman castle.
