Nestled within the idyllic Herefordshire countryside, Orchard View offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Guests are welcomed to unwind in the tranquility of nature, surrounded by orchards, meadows and rolling hills.

A pretty country lane leads you to this romantically secluded holiday home and you are greeted by beautiful contrast of classic Tudor and modern design. Inside you are invited into a cosy sitting-room, complete with traditional wood panelling and a wood-burner it really is the perfect place to cosy up in the evenings.

The hallway takes you to the fabulous farmhouse kitchen which doesn't fail to deliver. Fully decked out with a traditional Butler sink, classic white tiles and the odd farm animal (or two) you will really feel at home. There is a toasty Rayburn to warm your hands over and cook your favourite meal, but it is worth noting that there is also a conventional oven for the fainthearted cooks out there! The central piece of the kitchen has to be the large farmhouse table which is the ideal place to gather your family around for a holiday feast, sharing memories whist planning the next day's activities. For family groups there is a cute little snug room on the ground floor complete with board games and story books, perfect for keeping the kids entertained.

Upstairs you really are in for a treat. The owners have lovingly furnished the two bedrooms and family bathroom in true classical style. The main bedroom boasts an opulent super-king bed which is graced by an elegant moss green wood panelled wall. Every detail has been carefully thought out from the subtle and serene colour schemes to the ingenious use of old farm equipment as bedroom furniture. The second bedroom is divided from floor to ceiling by the original black timber beams creating a dreamy hideaway with a sumptuous double bed at one end and a reclaimed wooden bench at the other, a perfectly designed sanctuary to snuggle up and enjoy a good read.

The family bathroom is simply stunning with white brick tiles, roll-top bath and shower cubicle, the addition of green bamboo planters only adds to this charming and relaxing space.

Stepping outside, guests can indulge in the ultimate relaxation with exclusive amenities such as an outdoor sauna, a fire-pit and a wood-fired hot tub. These features provide the perfect setting to unwind under the open sky, enveloped in warmth and comfort. For the more energetic guests there is even a covered table-tennis area to let off some steam. The garden enjoys pleasant views of the surrounding farmland including the historic apple orchard which guests are welcome to help themselves to whilst in the trees are in fruit.

Whether seeking a romantic getaway or a peaceful retreat, Orchard View promises a luxurious experience amidst the beauty of Herefordshire's landscapes. With its blend of historic character and contemporary conveniences, this cottage offers a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the timeless beauty of the English countryside.

The Hughes family are third generation farmers, who farm over 250 acres of arable land and orchards, and are the present owners. The siblings (all seven of them) still farm in Herefordshire today, which in itself is quite unique. Lower Green Farm was once part of the Broxwood Estate from 1599 until it was sold in 1792. It belonged to the gentry of that time who owned all the cottages in the nearby hamlet of Broxwood. The black and white cottage, called Orchard View, was for the use of farm workers who tended the land. This is common in these parts, as some homes became 'cider drinking pubs', where farmers would meet after a hard day's work. A nearby cottage (which is now a home) still has the original pub features. The Hughes family took over ownership in 1865, and have farmed ever since.
