Walk into this gorgeous cottage and find your perfect stay in Northumberland. With so much space for you and your family and friends, this is the ideal place to relax at the end of a busy day exploring the beaches and castles on your doorstep.

Once inside choose from the cosy snug or the bright and airy sitting-room, after making a meal in the modern kitchen and sharing food in the separate dining-room. Or why not dine al fresco, either on the garden bench with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside, or tucked away on the private patio. While away a few hours curled up on the corner sofa with a good book, or just watching the sheep in the fields nearby while the young ones play happily in the upstairs playroom with plenty of toys and a dressing up box. The young pirates can get ready to storm nearby Bamburgh castle.

When night times comes around, you have the choice of retiring to the downstairs king-size bedroom with the family bathroom next door, or there's a double and a 'zip and link' room on the first floor. The double room is accessed through the playroom.

Once outside you will find many wonderful places to visit. Try a stroll through the gardens of nearby Alnwick Castle with its myriad of fountains and famous poison garden, being careful to keep your hands in your pockets! It's so relaxing to sit on the swing seats among the flowering cherry orchard. Or visit the castle itself, the setting for some of the Harry Potter films and maybe take a lesson in flying on a broom.

For those who like to be on the sea, take a boat trip out to the Farne Islands and watch the sea birds or walk along the wide open beach from Seahouses to Bamburgh. A visit to Bamburgh Castle with its Norse history is a must!

Back to Alnwick, full of wonderful independent shops and many restaurants to choose from, including one in a treehouse. And don't forget the famous second-hand book shop at the old railway station with a cafe and a model train running around the tops of the bookcases.

Further afield you can cross the border into Scotland or go south to Hadrian's Wall, built by the Romans to keep the Celts out of England. Catch the train to Edinburgh, only an hour away, and walk the historic Royal Mile.

This is just the tip of the iceberg of things to do in the area. Take a walk along the fantastic beaches, try the local seafood or just relax in one of the many local pubs. Northumberland will soon became your favourite place to visit.
