St Ives harbour is a hop, skip and a jump away. (or a two minute walk)
Venture down to the harbour and watch the fishing boats bobbing away.
Porthminster beach is a ten minute walk away.
St Ives has many hidden beaches, all waiting to be discovered.
The bustling town of Penzance is a twenty minute drive away. Spend the day exploring the local antique shops and maybe pick up some freshly caught fish from the local market at Newlyn.
Take a visit to Porthleven. A laid back town with some fabulous restaurant's.

Bunk-bedsTucked away in the heart of St Ives, down a little slope you will discover 2 Kelly's Gardens a simple and stylish dog friendly cottage. Sleeping four, this coastal getaway is perfect for a romantic escape or a holiday with three of your favourite people. The welcoming pubs (one just 30 yards away), fabulous restaurants, excellent independent shops and unforgettable coastline of St Ives are pretty much on your doorstep. This little gem not only has a private parking space (a short drive or a ten-minute walk away) it also has a shared outside access area (which is very typical of Cornish cottages in St Ives).
Step inside to find the wonderful open plan kitchen and dining space, complete with a modernistic kitchen, breakfast-bar with a bench seating-area, and a lovely sitting-area, with a snug sofa - plus, a wood-burner for those cosy nights by the fire. This is just the spot for sociable nights in, preparing a delicious supper and planning tomorrow's adventures. Head up the stairs via the narrow wooden traditional cottage steps, and up to the stepped landing, to find the two comfortable bedrooms (accessed via one step up into each room). Bedroom one is a calming king room, with a divine bed and luxury linens. Bedroom two is next door, and is home to bunk-beds, decorated in gorgeous cream tones. From the landing and up one step, you'll find the stylish family shower-room.
Outside, the patio space is perfect for lazy coffee mornings and evening drinks. Please note, children and dogs must be supervised in this area.
St Ives is a dream all year round and if it's your first time here, we promise you it will enchant you, and pull you back. The sandy beaches of Porthminster, Carbis Bay and Porthmeor are all within an easy stroll, and each one has its own beach cafe with stunning sea views. We especially love Porthmeor, where on a chilly day you are given a snuggly throw to wrap around you, keeping you toasty and warm.
If you fancy a day out why not head further west along the coast and you'll find the stunning Sennen Cove with its huge beach and spectacular waves - perfect for surfers. A little further around the coast you'll find iconic Land's End.
If you want to explore more then head further around onto the south coast and you'll come across the astonishing Minack Theatre with shows galore throughout the summer months.
2 Kelly's Gardens truly does provide a wonderful retreat for a small family or maybe a couple wanting just that extra bit of space to enjoy and reconnect with one another.
