Nestled in the charming village of Long Preston with its village green and very own Maypole, semi-detached Clova Cottage is waiting to welcome you. The village is almost in the middle of Settle and Skipton on the doorstep of the Yorkshire Dales and with the Lake District only an hour away. It's a fantastic location for a great Yorkshire getaway for families or couples.

Step into the separate dining-room, perfect for getting together over a meal of local delicacies and making plans for the following day's adventure. Walk through to the light-filled sitting-room, a relaxing space with comfortable sofas and a large television. Soak up the ambience of the toasty wood-burner and beams, not forgetting the thick stone walls. One step takes you to the modern kitchen with breakfast-area and stable-door onto a small sheltered rear yard, a little oasis of calm and a lovely spot for breakfast or evening drinks.

Climb the stairs to the first floor and take your pick of the two lovely bedrooms, one with a thoroughly modern en suite and the second with the use of the equally beautiful bathroom.

Clova Cottage is perfectly situated to take advantage of all that the Yorkshire Dales, Forest of Bowland and Lake District have to offer. Almost midway between the beautiful small town of Settle, with its famous Settle to Carlisle railway, and the bustling market town of Skipton. The villages, towns and cities of Settle, Ingleton, Kirkby Lonsdale, Leeds, Skipton, Ribblehead, Dent and Appleby can be easily reached in the car or by railway. The cycling and walking opportunities are endless, the Forest of Bowland is just the place to explore if you enjoy the outdoor life. Malham Cove is only five miles away with its stunning views. For those full of energy take the climb to the top. Ingleton is known for its picturesque Waterfalls Trail, a four mile circular route that takes you beside rivers and through ancient woodland, providing views of dramatic waterfalls along the way. Just the other side of Settle, White Scar Cave is well worth a visit. Explore the Ice Age cavern on a guided walk, taking you past underground streams and waterfalls, as well as prehistoric mud pools and thousands of stalactites.

Lake District National Park is only a short drive away with its lakes and fells, take a cruise or scale the heights of the fells, the choice is yours. Whatever you choose to do and wherever you decide to visit, you will look forward to returning to the warm welcome of Clova Cottage.
