From the moment you arrive at Denham you will realise you are somewhere very special. Reached via six granite steps, you will find the ground floor is home to two beautiful bedrooms giving the first floor over to open plan contemporary living at its best and maximising those views! Both bedrooms are spacious and beautifully presented with luxurious bedding for a great night's sleep. Bedroom one has a king-size bed and dual-aspect windows with views towards the Mount. A super en suite shower-room is the perfect place for a refreshing shower after a busy day. Bedroom two has a comfy double bed and lovely views towards Mount's Bay. The family bathroom completes the ground floor, with a gorgeous free-standing bath for a long soak and a rather fabulous shower.
Climb the oak stairs to the first floor where the views from every window take centre stage. Enjoy ever-changing vistas of St Michael's Mount, captivating from dawn until dusk. The kitchen area has a fabulous breakfast-bar where guests can sit and chat whilst the chef rustles up a holiday meal. The dining-table has the perfect backdrop view and is ideal for family meals or perhaps a board game or two. The sitting-area with cosy sofas has the most magnificent view of the Mount and if you can tear your eyes away from the scenery, the Smart TV will provide entertainment. The icing on the cake has to be the wonderful balcony, accessed through bi-fold doors, with glass balustrading to make the most of the superb views. From sunrise to sunset this vista will delight everyone.
Outside, Denham has ample parking and a goldfish pond, please take care with children. Whether you plan to spend your blissful holiday days meandering around the charming village of Marazion, miles of sandy beaches and of course St Michael's Mount which is virtually on the doorstep, or explore further afield, Denham makes the ideal base for your Cornish getaway.
The pretty village of Marazion is just a hop, skip and a jump away from Denham so you can wander into the centre and enjoy a good selection of cafes, restaurants, shops and galleries. St Michael's Mount is along a causeway from the beach, and you can walk along here at low tide enjoying spectacular views of the bay and beyond. Seasonal tickets for the castle and gardens can be booked in advance and there's also a lovely cafe for well-earnt refreshments. When the tide is high catch the ferryboat for a more exciting journey. Stroll along the promenade to Penzance, about thirty minutes away, where you will find a good selection of eclectic shops and the Jubilee Pool, an art deco outdoor pool with fabulous views and warmed by geothermal springs.
The fishing villages of Newlyn and Mousehole are further along the coast, gorgeous and unspoilt so don't forget your camera. On the north coast and a short car journey away, St Ives is renowned for its turquoise waters and effervescent light. Surfers should head for Porthmeor beach to catch the Atlantic rollers and swimmers to the calmer waters of Porthminster. Explore pretty cobbled streets, a myriad of galleries and the iconic Tate Gallery with an interesting collection of artworks and a cafe with the most fabulous views of the bay.
