Having negotiated Mevagissey’s narrow streets and the equally narrow entrance into the parking-area for this delightful cottage, you will be amazed at the spaciousness of Oyster Cottage and its peaceful location. A two minute level walk from the centre of this busy working fishing port (see photograph, not view from property), where fishermen still mend nets on the harbourside, Oyster Cottage is the end of a terrace of five, tucked away from the hustle and bustle but easily accessible to everything the village offers. The cottage is light and airy, with a large kitchen and a south-facing sitting/dining-room with broadband access, whose sitting-area looks out to the enclosed garden, where patios make the perfect location for outdoor meals. The master bedroom has an en suite shower-room and the twin bedroom shares a family bathroom with the second double room. Mevagissey offers fishing trips, craft shops and pubs that were once the haunt of smugglers, and nearby Pentewan has half a mile of sandy beach, perfect for families. Heligan Gardens are close, while the Eden Project and historic Charlestown, with its square-rigged tall ships moored at the harbourside, are a short drive away.
