Hillside is an attractive, detached, thatched family house on the brow of a hill on the outskirts of Kingston village in the South Hams. The garden is a real treat with a spacious lawn, from which gentle steps lead down to a sheltered patio, ideal for al fresco dining and with easy access to the kitchen. French doors lead into the sitting-room with a wood-burner and beamed ceiling, next to which is a comfortable playroom. The dining-room, with its round pine table and chairs, also has a wood-burner. The newly fitted kitchen, with granite surfaces, has been thoughtfully planned to provide all modern conveniences and ample cupboard space. Additionally there is a utility-room for laundry. Upstairs, the bedrooms and family bathroom, which boasts a thermostatic shower, are reached by a turned staircase and are prettily decorated, each with their own colour scheme. A further flight of stairs takes you to the shower-room and an alternative bedroom (please note there is not enough living area space for more than eight, but guests have a choice of bedrooms). The quiet road directly opposite the house leads to Wonwell Beach and miles of coastal footpaths, whilst Modbury is a short drive away. The second cot is a travel cot.
