Originally built as a farm worker’s cottage at the turn of the century, this detached house was completely renovated to provide spacious accommodation. Set in a large, enclosed garden near the village of Harracott, and surrounded by farmland, it has lovely views over the Taw Valley to the south. Conveniently situated for touring Exmoor and Dartmoor, it is only 20 minutes’ drive to Westward Ho! and a little further to more sandy beaches and the quaint villages of Devon’s north coast. The garden is mainly lawn with tubs of flowers and hanging baskets and a swing is provided for children. Inside, the rooms are large and airy and the gas fire in the sitting-room also runs the central heating, making the cottage very warm and cosy. The twin bedroom upstairs has windows looking south and east with views over the picturesque countryside.
