This lovely cottage, overlooking the gardens of Ringmore House, has its own entrance through a small courtyard. Guests can explore the Owners’ grounds – a mass of colour and imaginative planting for most of the year as well as a pretty wildlife pond – and guests have their own sheltered walled garden. The dining hall leads to the conservatory, and steps go to the kitchen and down to the sitting-room. With a ground floor shower-room, and first floor double bedroom and an en suite cloakroom, this is ideal for couples. The Owners offer cookery courses and can sometimes provide Aga-cooked meals or cream teas (48 hours’ notice required – prices on application). The waterside village of Shaldon (see photograph) is close by and Torbay’s delights are an easy drive. The Owners can offer use of their broadband access.
