Torbay is renowned for the golden beaches and bustling seaside towns of Torquay and Paignton. Closer to Totnes and Dartmoor, Marldon is a quiet village where the Owner of Jasmine Cottage helps run the Church House Inn, which has a reputation for excellent food – it was voted the best pub in Devon in a 2007 poll by magazine ‘Devon Life’ and was the first pub in Devon to be listed in the Michelin pub guide. The Owner also has Wisteria Cottage (2054) next door. Jasmine Cottage is just as stylish and spacious, with an enclosed front garden. Once inside, there is a large and well-equipped kitchen/diner and a sitting-room made even cosier by a wood-burner set in the hearth. Lovely deep leather sofas just beg to be sat in, upstairs the bedrooms are charming with lovely bed linens and colourful throws and there is a shiny bright white en suite shower-room, as well as a family bathroom.
