Tuell Farm is a beautiful tranquil place to visit, a haven to relax, unwind and recover from the pace of everyday life. There are 28 acres of orchard and fields to explore and guests can meet the Owners’ Grey Face Dartmoor sheep, cattle and free-range chickens, as well as the horses Princess and Poppy. The Owners have a swing and trampoline in their orchard (children must be supervised) and well-behaved dogs are welcome; as well as the fields for walking the dog, nearby Dartmoor offers proper trekking. Just outside the village of Milton Abbot, which has a shop and cafe, the cottages, converted from an ancient terrace of barns, are behind the Owners’ farmhouse and nestle in the undiscovered Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty close to the market town of Tavistock. Forming a terrace of three, the spacious barns are well furnished, each with a wood-burner making them ideal for cooler seasons (Dartmoor can be spectacular in the winter), as well as their own patio and a shared lawned area. For a day on the beach both north and south coasts are within easy driving distance, as is the Eden Project. Tavistock boasts interesting shops, galleries and restaurants and there are lots of activities close by including canoeing on the River Tamar, cycling on designated cycle trails or maybe try the newest craze of tree surfing – Tuell Farm has something for everyone.

Nuthatch Cottage, formerly known as Tuell Farm Cottage, is the first in the terrace, looking back along the leafy lane which leads to the cottages. It has a fitted kitchen and a particularly spacious sitting/dining-room. Upstairs (take care on the open-tread wooden staircase) are two pretty bedrooms and a family bathroom.

Ground Floor

Kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. Sitting/Dining-room with TV, DVD player, CD player and wood-burner.

First Floor

Bedroom 1 with double bed. Bedroom 2 with twin beds. Bathroom with bath, fitted shower, WC and wash-basin.

Facilities & Services

Inclusive Electricity. Heating – 3 electric convector heaters and 2 oil-filled radiators. Duvets. Towels. Travel cot. High chair. 2 Stair-gates. Broadband. At Cost Logs for wood-burner – first basket free thereafter pay Owner. Livery by arrangement.
