Pack up the car and head west – Clematis Cottage is just gorgeous. Thatched, semi-detached and with a terraced garden filled with shrubs and climbers tumbling down the many steps, this is a picture postcard cottage. There is also a large sloping grassed area (take care with children by the small stream) and a covered patio. Guests enter straight into the galley-style kitchen which leads to the spacious sitting/dining-room, with beamed ceiling, open fire and a door to the garden. Typical of a cottage believed to date back to the 1700s, the stairs are steep and winding, with steps from the very small landing up into each of the bedrooms and the bathroom so please take care. Not far from Kingsbridge, there are many beaches nearby and a pub within walking distance down the hill. What more can you ask for? *A cot is not provided, please bring your own travel cot. Please note that the changeover times are 5pm on arrival and 12 noon on departure.
