Set in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Devon/Cornwall border, Down Farm Barn commands broad views of Devon and Cornwall across the Tamar Valley. The property is within a working farm so take care around the horses, cattle, sheep and chickens. Approached by exterior stone steps, the first floor sitting-room has soft white walls which complement the cream leather sofas and rugs on the polished wooden floor. The upstairs master bedroom features a 19th Century, oak, four-poster bed, and on the other side of the sitting-room a landing leads to a children’s bedroom. Downstairs the remaining bedrooms are reached via the spacious farmhouse kitchen/diner with its yellow electric Aga, a large table and granite work surfaces. Accessed through the utility-area is a games-room with table-tennis, dartboard and some gym equipment. There is a sheltered lawn area with barbecue to the front and a courtyard patio at the rear. There is much to do in the area with easy access to Dartmoor, several National Trust properties close by and the picturesque Tamar Valley railway which runs from Gunnislake to Plymouth.
