Down a quiet South Hams narrow lane, surrounded by farming country, lies the hamlet of Woolston. This tranquil retreat boasts only a couple of houses and pretty, semi-detached Orchard Cottage is one of two period cottages nestled behind the old farmhouse. Approached by a driveway shared by the farmhouse and neighbouring cottages, this delightfully furnished home-from-home provides the ideal base to explore the nearby sandy beaches and pretty villages. The front stable-door opens into the attractively furnished sitting-room, warmed by a wood-burner. The kitchen/dining-room, enhanced by a lovely green Aga (the main cooking appliance, although a combination microwave is provided), opens out to the beautiful, enclosed, terraced patio and garden. Steps (please take care with young children and the elderly) lead up to a level lawned area. Upstairs, all the bedrooms are tastefully furnished with the master bedroom benefiting from a shower and en suite WC. Ideal for small families and especially spacious for couples wishing to holiday with friends, this special cottage is bound to prove popular with guests wishing to explore this picturesque area of south Devon.
