A haven for birdlife and an ideal locality for wildlife artists and photographers, this tranquil spot, hidden in an unspoilt Devon valley within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is a 20 minute drive from the World Heritage coastline where Beer, Branscombe and Lyme Regis are found. Little Leywood has French windows onto a south-facing, enclosed terrace, private and sheltered with many plants and shrubs. The neighbouring Owners have a marvellous collection of rescued birds of prey that visitors are welcome to meet. As excellent cooks they can provide superb Aga-cooked gourmet meals. Inside, the cottage is full of character, heavily beamed and boasts fine wooden floors. The living-room has an inglenook fireplace housing a cosy wood-burner, the kitchen has beech worktops and cream painted cupboards, and the ground floor shower-room is well appointed. Upstairs the large, sunny main bedroom has a vaulted ceiling and the smaller room has comfortable L-shaped bunk-beds.
