What a romantic retreat this is. Peacock Cottage, found down a private farm lane, is charming. Set in a pretty secluded valley, the detached single-storey cottage overlooks the Owners’ gorgeous extensive grounds, including three ponds (one of which has wild otters). Inside is delightful with exposed beams, sloping ceilings, a warming multi-burner, a contemporary compact kitchen and an attractive bedroom with a king-size bed and stylish en suite bathroom. There is also access to a utility-room, with storage, in the barn opposite. Bed and Breakfast is offered at the Owners’ nearby farmhouse and breakfast can also be provided for guests at the cottage. Bird watchers will love the wild birds and keen walkers can enjoy the footpath leading to surrounding farmland and woods. It is only a short drive to the popular town of Dartmouth, Agatha Christie’s old home Greenway is close by as are some excellent beaches and coastal walks. This property has a private water supply which is tested regularly.
