Peaceful location and lovely garden to enjoy. Great ;location if you are keen on exploring the island.

We had a fantastic time at Keepers cottage. The location was perfect. We enjoyed the beautiful garden and the visiting wildlife. We too enjoyed the remote location with no neighbours. The cottage is well equipped (with two ovens !!!) and has a lovely feeling about it! Very relaxing! One of the first things you notice on arrival to the cottage is the silence all around you, you forget that it is such a beautiful thing, as living in London it’s so noisy and fast paced. No matter what excursions we did every day we couldn’t wait to get back to the warmth and security of the cottage, it has this feeling of wanting to be there all the time. The sun was always shinning in the garden too! The starry nights were amazing! We found the bridle way okay but we did have an MPV and yes there were lots of potholes. The children loved the garden too and looking out for the two horses and the Llamas as you drive down the bridle way. Also in the downstairs utility room/loo there is an air vent and you can hear tiny squeaks, I went outside and next to the front door I saw a Marsh tit/Willow tit ??? (it could have been a different type of tit ! ) flying in to the vent to feed the hatchlings! Wonderful! We had read the previous reviews about the stairs, my mother was a bit worried but on the whole it was fine and we were careful. The only thing as a family we would like to mention is the bedding and cushions are all feather down and hold lots of dust. We have three asthmatics in our family and this was very difficult for them. We have suggested to Classic Cottages that it might be a good idea to have at least one Anti-Allergy bedroom. Just incase other families who may also have young children or adults with breathing problems/Asthma. If these changes were put in place we would definitely like to return. ...

Thanks so much for your review. We're delighted you had such a relaxing stay at Keepers Cottage and the sun shone for you. How amazing to discover the birds feeding their chicks in the vent! We're sorry you were not aware there was feather bedding at the cottage, and for the members of the party this impacted on. We will amend this in the property details for future guests. We're so glad overall you had such a great holiday and would love to welcome you back again in the future. Kelsey, Customer Support...

A truly delightful cottage. Lots of space in a lovely situation and we would love to return. Ideal for mixed generations of a family to stay in and, apart from the road to get to it, it was all good! A red squirrel would have been the icing on the cake!...

We loved the remote location along a bridle path with no neighbours. The gardens are vast and a haven for birds. We would have liked to have been there when the fruit trees ripen! The layout of the cottage is perfect for two independent couples because the main bedroom with ensuite is at the opposite end to the other bedrooms. The two separate living spaces, one more formal with TV and the other informal and off the kitchen, ensured that there was more than able room for us to be together or apart. Would definitely return! ...

A disappointing introduction to classic cottages. We are very unlikely to book with you again.
