The multi-award winning and famous Lynton and Lynmouth funicular Cliff Railway opened in 1890 and is the highest and the steepest totally water powered railway in the world!
Head to Woolacombe beach and take in the view!
For an adrenalin fuelled day it has to be north Devon wakepark!
Exmoor offers the perfect playground!
Head to Combe Martin for a dose of vitamin sea!
Follow the River Lyn down to Lynmouth!

Great house in a perfect location for us and we really enjoyed our break at Bracken Lea. The weather was not kind so we did not do all of our planned walks therefore, we hope to return. Thank the owners for the use of their home.

The house is ideally located. A very quick car ride away brings you to beautiful Lynton and Lynmouth, and a little further on to The Valley of the Rocks where, if you are lucky, you can enjoy the setting sun over glorious cliffs and sea. Immediately next to the garden is a gate leading into National Trust woodland which follows the river down to Lynmouth; a couple of miles, some of which is quite challenging, but well worth it! The house is really comfortable, with patio doors opening on to a lovely terrace to enjoy in the summer months. ...
