Stef Parr

Having dreamt of living in Cornwall since spending childhood holidays with her grandparents in Falmouth, the dream finally came true for Stef eight years ago when she moved to Helston close to the Lizard. She loves everything about living in Cornwall, from the slower pace of life to being able to walk to the coast from home. She loves walking the quieter, hidden paths of the countryside, foraging for wild herbs and berries in autumn and taking photos of the abundant wildflowers in spring. Stef’s favourite places to visit are Cape Cornwall at sunset, the circular walk between Coverack and St Keverne, and Stones Bakery in Falmouth for coffee and cake! She loves the wilder places in the UK, especially rugged Wales where her Mum lives, and likes to explore its mountains, castles and deep-rooted history, while she dreams of exploring the islands of west Scotland, hiking on the Yorkshire moors and uncovering the hidden side of Dartmoor and Exmoor. Stef previously worked in marketing before becoming a freelance writer, leaving her more time to focus on her hobbies of pottery, painting, writing and learning the ancient crafts and folklore of west Cornwall.
