The beach is a perfect, sheltered little cove backed by woodland and gentle hills; it’s the kind of place you can imagine the Famous Five having visited. Maenporth Estate itself is 29 acres of peaceful wooded countryside overlooking the sea.

The Helford Valley (1.2 miles)
One of the nicest walks in the Helford valley is from Mawnan Church, just outside the village, to Rosemullion Head. You walk through woodland and then join the coastal path for wonderful views across Falmouth Bay.

A great links course, complete with a driving range.

Glendurgan Garden (1.5 miles)
A sheltered valley garden bordering the Helford River next door to Trebah. Try out the laurel maze and the 'Giant's Stride' maypole.
