Surrounded by peaceful countryside, Cardwen Farm is tucked away in a tranquil rural setting on the outskirts of the village of Pelynt. Beside the Owners’ beautiful garden are two adjacent converted barns, each with its own patio with steps leading up to the entrance, and both with a nesting-box in the roof space providing sanctuary for local owls. Guests are welcome to explore the gardens and large pond (please take care with children), and the open grassy play-area beside the cottages is ideal for younger visitors. The Eden Project is easily accessible via the Bodinnick ferry between Polruan and Fowey, Lanhydrock is just eight miles away, and The Lost Gardens of Heligan near Mevagissey await your discovery. Looe’s bustling picturesque harbour and the historic smuggling village of Polperro are nearby, as are several sandy beaches and golf courses. There is also hard-standing for a boat trailer, and wireless broadband is available at both cottages. A few yards along the drive there is also detached single-storey Bay Tree Cottage (2331).

An archway leads from the dining-area through to the kitchen.The kitchen is small but well-equipped.The dining-area has views across the countryside towards the village church in the distance.

Characterised by its high beamed ceiling and exposed stone walls, Cardwen Cottage’s spacious open plan living-room overlooks the garden and has two large sofas, a cosy wood-burner, and open archways leading to the oak furnished dining-area and the compact kitchen-area. Stairs lead down to the bathroom and bedrooms, one double with an en suite shower-room.

Lower Ground Floor
