If you were looking for cottages like Colesloggett Farmhouse, how about trying these:

A little piece of God’s own acre, Colesloggett sits in the midst of the beautiful Glynn Valley. Tucked way down a little lane this delightful old farmhouse is quite charming with a warm welcoming feel as soon as you step in through the little porch. The sitting-room is oh so cosy with a wood-burner in the deep fireplace and the dining-room next door is just as lovely. A spacious kitchen with an oil-fired Rayburn (switched off between June and September) has steps down to a large pantry, ideal for storing those holiday treats, and a large table where no doubt you will sit around planning the day’s adventure over breakfast. Upstairs are three very pretty bedrooms and a remarkably spacious bathroom with both a shower and a deep bath for a relaxing soak. And there is such a lot to do – equidistant from both the north and south coasts, there is plenty of choice for a bucket and spade day on the beach. Alternatively there are several National Trust houses within a short distance. Lanhydrock in particular is well worth a visit, not just to the house and grounds but also as the home of the new cycle hub run by the National Trust, which has several trails ranging from the easy to the really strenuous. So don’t forget to bring the bikes as well as sun hats and picnic baskets. There is covered storage for your bikes and surfboards, and the Owners who live elsewhere in the grounds (there is only one other neighbour) are on hand to suggest things to do. The gardens and grounds of the farmhouse are beautiful, full of flowers and climbers with masses of colour whatever the season. There are a couple of swings, masses of space for the children to run around and a pretty wildlife pond (take care with toddlers although it is fenced). And if you run out of ideas of where to go, the nearby moors are ideal for a long bracing walk, returning to this little haven of tranquility at the end of the day. And yet another bonus, the Bodmin and Wenford Steam Railway runs through the grounds and there is even a little station where you can hop on the train and take a leisurely ride through some wonderful scenery, with the romantic toot of the whistle and puff puff of the steam engine. So what are you waiting for? Colesloggett Farmhouse is a place that will remain in your hearts long after you return home. There is a private water supply (tested regularly).
