Parc-Vounder is Cornish for ‘field at the end of the track’ and this spacious south-facing bungalow was indeed built on farmland, in an elevated position with far reaching views across the surrounding countryside. Almost a third of an acre of lawn is enclosed by post and rail fencing, the perfect play-area for children and dogs. Traditionally furnished and very comfortable, Parc-Vounder is also ideal for those with restricted mobility as it is all on one level. Inside is a bright and cheerful very well-equipped kitchen, a pine furnished dining-room, and a traditional sitting-room with a warming open fire and big picture windows making the most of the views. Outside, the short driveway takes you onto the road (please take care with young children) which leads to the historic town of Helston, the picturesque fishing village of Porthleven and the golden sandy beach at Praa Sands – or in the other direction to St Ives, with its many interesting galleries, shops, restaurants and pretty harbour.
