The sitting-room is situated on the first floor with a spacious balcony overlooking the shared gardens, harbour and River Yar. Sit back and relax with a drink and admire your choice of views. There is a spacious open plan kitchen/dining-room on the ground floor with doors leading out to a private decked area with outdoor seating. The lovely lawns beyond this area are shared and back onto the river. Also situated on the first floor is a lovely double room with an en suite shower-room. On the second floor are two lovely double bedroom's, including the master bedroom boasting superb views over Bembridge Harbour. Just a short walk along the harbour is a floating seafood cafe serving the freshest shellfish landed straight from the fishing boat, open all year round with outdoor seating and a wood-burning stove for winter days, well worth a visit. St Helens also has a choice of places to dine, one of which being Dan’s Kitchen with views across the Solent, comes highly recommended. There is parking for two vehicles directly outside the property.
5 Yar Quay is located within walking distance to Bembridge along the harbour past the houseboats and also to St Helens Green with a children’s play area and petanque pitch. There is a choice of beaches that you can easily get to, either by car or on foot, St Helens Duver has a fabulous beach cafe which is open daytime and evening plus the obligatory ice cream kiosk. Bembridge also has a varied choice of beaches plus a bustling village with a good choice of cafes, restaurants and independent shops. If you fancy getting active on your holiday Tacktisle is a few minutes away on St Helens Duver. They specialise in outdoor pursuits such as mountain biking, kayaking, sailing and much more. Even better let the kids have fun while you relax at the nearby Baywatch beach cafe. The nearby Brading Marshes is the first RSPB’s reserve on the Island and covers most of the beautiful valley of the lower River Yar, great walking territory all year around. Nothing on the Isle of Wight is too far away and Yar Quay offers you a wonderful place base yourself whilst you explore the island’s many wonders.
