The Piglet is the smaller of two barn conversions near Calbourne on the west side of the island, located in an idyllic setting with breathtaking views over the surrounding countryside and Tennyson Downs. The Piglet can be rented alongside The Studio (3793) for larger families, however if rented separately it has its own entrance and driveway for privacy. The Piglet has two bedrooms, a double and a bunk-room, the double bedroom overlooks the property's orchard and field a communal place for both The studio and The Piglet, a truly wonderful view to wake up to. The bunk-beds are built-in and have been designed by the owner who has also designed both barn conversions. The open plan kitchen, living and dining space is light and airy with doors opening out to a patio area with a picnic table, a truly special place to sit and have your morning coffee with a spectacular outlook. There is private parking for up to three vehicles.
Guests at The Piglet also have access to the orchard and a large field, both owned and tended to by the owner, with lots of space for the kids to play and run around. The surrounding countryside on view from the property is breathtaking, overlooking the Tennyson Downs, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Sun Inn, a traditional village pub overlooking Westover Cricket Club, is in the quaint village of Calbourne, just along the road. The Island’s famous Winkle Street is a short stroll away from the pub, a picturesque row of cottages which frequently appear on postcards of the Island, well worth a visit. Also on your long list of things to visit is Calbourne Water Mill and Rural Museum, this is one of the oldest working water mills in the country with many activities on offer including adventure golf, croquet and a cafe - a great day out for all the family. The Piglet is a unique property in a wonderful setting.
