St Ewe is a pretty village, consisting of an excellent local inn and a few traditional houses surrounding a beautiful old church, part of which dates back to the 16th Century. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are half a mile away, with a fantastic farm shop on site, and the Eden Project is just nine miles away. The location is ideal for exploring the bustling fishing villages and excellent south coast beaches by day, with a peaceful rural haven to return to in the evening. The Barn, on the outskirts of the village, is a delightful conversion of old farm buildings where tubs of flowers fill the courtyard with colour in summer. The Owner, Mrs Reid, lives in the main house – she is one of our most caring Owners and will make you very welcome.

The Lost Gardens of Heligan are a couple of minutes' drive from the cottage.Mevagissey is just a brief car journey away.Mevagissey's picturesque harbour.

Detached Oak Cottage is opposite Ash, on the right of the courtyard as you enter. Originally a stone barn, it stands alone and is now a tastefully decorated and furnished little cottage, featuring oak furniture, comfortable armchairs and cottage-style fabrics. There are a few steps down from the front door to the courtyard, and from here you can walk alongside the cottage to an enclosed, private lawned area at the back which is overlooked from the living-room.

Open plan living-room with kitchen and dining areas. TV/DVD player and log-effect electric fire. Electric cooker, microwave and fridge. Bedroom with double bed. Bathroom with bath, fitted shower, WC and wash-basin.
