Tucked just behind the seafront in the wonderful waterside town of St Mawes this beautiful old 17th Century townhouse has glimpses of the sea and all the town's amenities just a short stroll away. With three lovely beaches within a five minute walk, boats bobbing on the water and foodie delights to suit all tastes, this is a wonderful holiday retreat. With whitewashed walls, beautiful furnishings and a wood-burner for warm snuggly evenings, Russell House is somewhere to relax at any time of year. Pick a film on Netflix to watch on the Smart TV or stream music through the WiFi speakers and sit back with a glass of wine and toast the happy holiday memories made in this fabulous house.

Beautifully updated and lovingly furnished, Russell House is a true delight where gorgeous artwork and soft lighting will have you stretched out and relaxed in no time. The separate dining-room has an oil-fired Rayburn range cooker for the cooler months (available from October to March) great for slow cooked meals with the family gathered around the vintage dining-table and wonderfully warming on cooler days. An open doorway leads through to the stone-floored, Shaker-style kitchen where an electric oven and induction hob provide cooking facilities in warmer months, with iroko work surfaces enhancing this fully fitted kitchen. There is a useful utility-room with space for wetsuits, buckets and spades, and a separate cloakroom. Outside, at the back of the house, steep steps lead up to a platform deck with views over the rooftops to the boats out on the water (take care with children on the steep steps and deck). This is a wonderful spot to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening as the sun sets and lights sparkle on the water. Inside, cottage stairs lead up to the bedrooms where the master bedroom has a peek of the sea and an en suite shower-room. The second bedroom has a wonderfully high vaulted ceiling and the twin and single bedrooms face the front with more sea glimpses. Lovely white linens and soft down duvets and pillows ensure ultimate comfort, and cushions and throws add extra comfort. The family bathroom has a fitted shower over the bath and heated towel rails in both bathrooms and the ground floor cloakroom will keep your towels snuggly warm. Retaining many original features, this lovely house is also fully kitted out with BT Infinity superfast unlimited WiFi and the sockets have USB charger points. Perched at the tip of the Roseland peninsula overlooking Falmouth Bay, St Mawes is a fabulous location for a holiday. There are beaches just minutes away, with Harbour Beach appearing as the tide drops back, Summers Beach offering plenty of space and a swimming pontoon in the holiday season, and Tavern Beach snuggled below the Hotel Tresanton and also with a swimming pontoon, providing hours of fun for children and adults alike. There are watersports galore with sailing, kayaking and paddle boarding all on offer, plus fabulous riverside and coastal walks. A diverse range of restaurants, pubs and cafes serve food to suit all tastes, from fish and chips to haute cuisine and everything in between! Short breaks are sometimes available out of the main season, please call the office to discuss.
