Just inland from the glorious south coast footpaths that meander past Whitsand, Looe and Lantivet bays, this comfortable, stylish and beautifully presented cottage is the perfect bolthole for couples. Much more spacious than it looks, The Studio has a well-equipped kitchen/dining-room and shower-room on the ground floor and a big bedroom/sitting-room above. A bespoke, super-comfy bed provides the perfect night's sleep and comfortable sofas encourage lazing with a book and glass of wine. Set in a wonderfully tranquil hamlet, a little lawn outside with table and chairs is the ideal place to sit and enjoy a morning coffee with only the sound of birdsong in the air. A babe in arms (under six months old) and a well-behaved, small dog are welcome.
The Studio provides all you need and more for a comfortable stay; the kitchen is fully equipped and has a spacious dining-area for enjoying long lazy meals. The shower-room has a fully tiled double shower and is made cosy by a tall heated towel rail. Upstairs, the bedroom/sitting-room is light and airy with windows at each end, one looking out over distant countryside views. The bed is a bespoke double, measuring 4' 6'' wide by 7' long so perfect for tall people (although beware the sloping ceilings upstairs!). There are plenty of books to read and DVDs to while away a cosy evening. Lovely linens, soft cosy throws and cushions add comfort and charm. You don’t have to venture far for enjoyment with Looe just a few minutes’ away and offering narrow streets to explore, plenty of eating places and shark fishing trips for the adventurous; the Looe Valley train line is a 15 minute walk from The Studio, perfect for those who love a picturesque train journey. The ancient fishing village of Polperro is also nearby, with tiny stone-built cottages, old smugglers’ pubs and a sheltering harbour with fishing boats bobbing on the water. Walkers, history buffs and gardeners will love Antony House, Mount Edgcumbe, Cotehele and Lanhydrock, while the maritime city of Plymouth is only 18 miles away for those looking for shopping, shows and outdoor eating on the waterfront Barbican. Literary and music enthusiasts will love the annual Looe Music Festival, the Fowey Festival of Words and Music, and Port Eliot Literary Festival, all within easy reach. The welcoming Owner lives next door and is happy for guests to bring a small well-behaved dog.
